The moment she left the ruined walls of Kvatch, she felt an overpowering presence follow her. No matter how many times she tried to hide, the feeling was there. A few times, Hyascinthe used other travelers on the road, shaking the feeling for a while, but the sensation of being followed and watched returned relentlessly. She had been heading east, toward Morrowind and refused to stop and rest, the paranoia of being followed pushing her body forward for days. She eventually had to give in and rest, but it presented another problem.

First there was peace, silence and darkness until sharp, violent pain erupted from her shoulder, spreading rapidly through the entire left side of her body. Consciousness wavered in and out as she rocked uncontrollably in something wooden, creaking loudly across the sound of crunching gravel. Hyascinthe briefly made out the image of a hooded figure and tried to understand the words he spoke futilely, but exhaustion and pain conquered her will and her vision went black once more.
